VLC Media Player

Visualizzatore multimediale multi-piattaforma in grado di riprodurre tutti i formati audio, video ed in streaming più diffusi. Tra questi, vi sono i noti Mpeg, DivX, Mp3, DVD e VCD.

Una particolarità molto apprezzata di questo player gratuito è che non necessita di codec esterni: quindi nessuna ricerca sul web per scaricare (a volte dovendoli acquistare) i codec dei vari formati!

Può anche essere utilizzato come server per lo streaming video con funzionalità avanzate come video on demand e trascodifica on the fly. Supporta trasmissioni sia unicast sia multicast in IP versione 4 o 6.
